I need help reading his occupation in the 1910 census. Is it commercial traveler and also for who?

Grandfather of Gene Eliza Tierney (1920 - 1991)

It's commercial traveler which is a fancy way of saying traveling salesman.  I don't think the second box is an employer.  I think it is a misspelling of "loose goods."

Thank you. In 1880 he was a clerk. A second set of eyes helps so much. laugh

Have you been able to find him in 1920?  Employment/occupation details might be easier to read there (if not already retired)?
No haven’t been able to but he was living so he should be listed
