This is my Great Aunt Mary’s first husband and Great uncle Bill’s Brother-in-law who was also  “KIA” in WWII. I need a Marriage source showing them married. Any help in his profile is appreciated for this War hero.

Thank you Wikitree family

Note: Donald Ming was adopted biological parents unknown. LNAB is his adopted name I believe.

This is it! I had been searching for a while now. I knew they were married but needed a good source. Thank you so much
My great aunt Mary lost her brother and husband to WWII all within months. Very tragic. Explains a lot. Thank you

His step- father was John Leroy Ming, born March 17,1894. World War 1- Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force. His mother  was Alice Aldrich, who married first George Baldwin. John adopted Baldwin's two sons., Donald and William. Alice, born 1884, was the daughter of Leslie Aldrich and Martha McIntyre. George Baldwin, born 1886, was the son of George Baldwin and  Martha Annie Scott. William Ming married Beth Mouton. He also served in the US Army, enlisting in 1946

Wow this is interesting! So John Ming adopted his wife’s biological children as his own so he was their step father but possibly adopted father also. Then George Baldwin is the boys biological father and would make LNAB Baldwin. I’m not sure how to go further when adding his parents or his LNAB.

Amazing!

Thanks Eddie laugh

Yep, 1930 census says boys adopted - mother Alice- following census for Alice got to Aldrich and other hubby.

I only did this to torment you some more wink Now I gotta go eat ham and cabbage.

You should do John's profile and put the link in the boy's with the story. John was a soldier too!!

Change boy's LNAB and find George.

Maybe I'll have ice cream after the cabbage !

LOL ok laugh

See John Leroy Ming Here death record says he wasn’t a veteran but maybe whoever filled out his death record didn’t know? Working on sourcing the lineage. However that is U.S. armed forces question not Canadian surprise

Added to the lineage. See the FindAGrave for William Ming not so sure he was adopted his bio says son of John and Alice Ming?

Alice married George Baldwin in 1903 and it took them until 1921 and 1928 to have the boys?

John Leroy Ming was much younger born in 1894?
