Should East Jersey and West Jersey be allowed

In Colonial Times, New Jersey was divided into the

Province of East Jersey and the Province of West Jersey. I have seen East Jersey Province and West Jersey Province used as locations. I am not sure if this small detail is important but it is generating errors. Need to determine if these are allowed place names.

East Jersey and West Jersey both are valid historical place names. I think they are formally Province of East Jersey and Province of West Jersey, but entries like East Jersey Province should not generate errors.

I added the tags data_doctors and ales to your post to get attention to the need to add these to the list of allowable place names.

Ales probably needs to add those locations to his Locations Table.   They are both listed in the DD tab for State Historical Names with date range of 1674-1702, but Ales has not taken the information from there, I guess.  I thought information had been passed to him about everything in that tab, but maybe he hasn't used it yet.

I agree. Many early records refer to East and West New Jersey.
