Welcome to WikiTree, John. You have come to what I think is the best place on the internet to work together to form one large tree. Be sure to let your Greeter (that's me for now) know if you have any questions about how to upgrade.

I'm going to add a tag for Australia to get the attention of others who might research the Naude family there.

I look forward to seeing your twig grow within the branches of WikiTree.

Hi Johannes

You can search the forum for Your family name or check in with the Wales Project as a starting point.  I would suggest removing you D-O-B from the message above for your privacy.  You can also contact me on my page and send me a private message.

Regards

Hey Johan. Are your parents still living? If not, what were their names, and where did they live before having you at Carnarvon?

Also, What did you know about your grandparents?

There isn't any listings in Western Australia under Naude. So I take it your parents moved to Western Australia before they had you. I can't find listings in other Australian states either.

Welcome to WikiTree Johan! That is a very South African sounding name, I'd look here. Ben is right, some details about any parents or grandparents who have passed will help us a lot. Familysearch is a great resource for South African trees and usually comes with images. Probates list children, sometimes even with birth dates, which can be really helpful. eGGSA.org also have a lovely collection of graves with photo's. Using NAAIRS (National Automated Archival Information Retrieval System also known as NASA - National Archives of South Africa) to find spouses and death dates, then go to familysearch to see if you can find the probate, then try eGGSA's graves is a strategy that often works for me (usually familysearch'es death notices will tell which cemetery the family intended to bury the deceased's remains in). Many of the pre-1800 ancestors are already on wikitree so it often doesn't take long before you're able to connect to many SA branches. Good luck!
