Broken the brick wall for William Coling born 1791. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Coling-19 He now has two parents.
Paris registry has been attached to the profile as someone can decode the parish which tester is from it may help us figure out where she was born and fly by her parents
Thanks Elizabeth and Lisa
There is possibly a way to find out if they were born in the parish the children do appear one or two of them in the parish register he's at there however I would assume deciphering the marriage record from Playskool may help I put it up on them profile if anyone wants to take a crack at it they can I'm not good with eighteenth-century secretarial
1841 census for Hester craft list her living in the almshouse a source which I added is the history of working houses in England worth is one of the working houses and best Sheba is listed in the records reference of how many rooms and places people could
Connected Caroline Coling's paternal grandfather Robert Stevenson's father John to his parents, who already had profiles (albeit unsourced). Now need to add my own connection to the Stevensons of Breaston.
Nice find, Stephen!
I might have been too quick to connect John Stevenson (one of the brick walls) to the parents already on WikiTree. There were two John Stevensons of very similar age, both framework knitters in Breaston, and nothing I can find to prove which was which. I've created profiles for both of them, and linked them with research notes. On the basis of names of siblings and children alone, I have swapped the families over (and lost my direct connection to Nathan in the process). https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stevenson-9270 and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stevenson-9283
Oh no!! Let us know what you find, Stephen
There are two Johnson the Farish one is probably the son of the other individual but his son determinable

Added the parents of Keziah
WooHoo! Way to go Sharkey!
Fantastic. Keep up the good work.
added William's parents and his siblings
Nice work!
Parents for Kezia Taylor now connected and marriage and census sources.

They were brickwall ancestors.
I think Kezia already had proven parents, Hilary. Am I missing something? Nice work on adding sources!
Joan asked to clean profile may have misunderstood.
No, it was me that caused the confusion.
Not sure what is being discussed
Its OK Chris.  Someone had messed up one of the profiles that you had created earlier, and Hilary cleaned it up again.  Nothing else needs to be done.
Thank you Joan sorry have been tied up with caring yesterday and most of today

I'll check those now, Hilary. Nice work!!
Nathan has Gingell-105 as dying in Cardiff in 1916 on his WikiTree profile it is 1919 in Pontypridd which is more likely given that he lived in that area. I will see if I can find anything more in the Welsh newspapers.
Thanks Hilary - good luck! Let us know what you find.
Have created a space page for newspaper reports as found a few some may not be this family. There is one you will want to share with Nathan regarding Bigamy.
I think Nathan has the wrong parents for Mary Greenaway. She was of the parish of Lyneham and I have source for death and baptism which I will add. Just going to try and find her parents marriage. This could be a brickwall broken.
Have also found parents marriage now. Added profiles with a  source will add more in the morning.
Added Simkins-420 and connected to his parents who were a brick wall. About to add his wife.

I can't wait to see the Space page, Hilary laugh Nice research proving the parents of Mary Greenaway!  Wow, and Simkins! Thank you!!!

I will be adding in his wife and her parents she married his brother Henry first then she married James some distance away when Henry died. Here is her profile Chambers-9687

Nice sleuthing, Hilary smiley

I added parents for Maria Wilkin that weren't on Ancestry (sorry posted this on the wrong section previously)
No problem, Donna, thanks!
Added Elizabeth Adams as mother of Frances Cann. (matrilineal line from Ethel Elizabeth).  Found marriage records for Eliza Adams and Thomas Cann.  Also some of the children's baptismal records list her maiden name as Adams.
Nice find, Deb!!
And another wall down.  Thomas Cann's parents were Thomas Cann and Anne Hudson.  And no bonus points, but Thomas Cann's parents were Thomas Cann and Lydia George. Parents and kids added.
Really nice work, Deb!
Added parents of Sarah (Leeds) Savage, and then another 6 of her and Christopher's kids.
Nice work, Dave! Thank you

I found Arthur's mother in the United Kingdom Census of 1881. Jane E Swaby, born about 1876, was living with her parents James and Patience and siblings Sarah and James. The location was in London. I will use my MyHeritage link, as explained in https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources_Style_Guide#Commercial_Web_Sites_as_Sources. This is my first challenge. Any tips would be appreciated!

I have added Jane, James Frederick and Patience Swaby (Goldsmith) with the 1881 source.
Added his parents Thomas and Eliza (nee) Fleet
Thanks Pilla and Anon!
I have changed Patience's birth name to Goldsmith. I followed her back through the censuses. There is no contradiction with Nathan Goodwin's MyHeritage tree. I put a research note with a lead to finding their marriage license on her page.
Still trying to find Patience Goldsmith Swaby's mother, Sarah Catto. I added a research note to Sarah's [Catto-183] profile about a potential match in parish records in Cranham All Saints, Essex, which name her father as Richard Cato and mother as Susannah. One less 't', but only 3 years different from what the 1861 census said. Would love to break this brick wall!
Added siblings to Patience: Ann, Joseph, Alexander and Job. Also, connected to existing WikiTree Elizabeth [Goldsmith-1170].
Thanks for your work on that, Pilla.
Nathan has a Mary and a Mary Ann born to William and Hannah in both 1831 I can only find Mary Ann christened in West Drayton in 1831. is this an error? The 1841  census shows a Mary

Also he does not have a son William born in 1828 in Iver shown on his Ancestry tree I've added to WT
Thanks for working on that, Anon! I'm not sure what the answer is about the 1831 event.

I added parents to Sarah Shepherd Ellingham (Shepherd-8110) that weren't on Ancestry.   I left research notes on her about the 2 possible families.   If someone knows of more records available to add or disprove, please don't hesitate to add/change.  With the records I was finding I feel good with these parents.

Donna, I've added a few extra sources to your Shepherd profiles (1841 census, birth regs for children Jesse and Sarah, death regs for James and his wife Sarah). It certainly looks to me as though you have the correct family. Have also added a baptism for James, so we have his parents names.

Thanks Donna and Carol!!

Added parents for Martha Lake https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lake-4886 - they are https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lake-4887 and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Butcher-4351 can I share the points with Donna https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tucker-11084 Please - she found the christening on Martha

Added parents for John Lancaster https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lancaster-4716 - they are William Lancaster https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lancaster-4721 & Mary Cook https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cook-37948

Can I share these points with Donna too please.

Really nice work, Donna and Maddy! Those points have been split between you. Way to collaborate!

Bounty Points: Added parents to Martha Tearle .  They are John Tearle and Martha Archer.

Claiming bounty points for parents of Susan Partridge parents are William Partridge and Frances Gregory
That's great work, Hilary!

Comment here if you break a brick wall, find mistakes in the tree of Nathan Goodwin's great-grandfather Leslie Dengate, or have questions or research notes on this line.

Nathan's current tree for Leslie is this one on Ancestry. (Ancestry Image)

Both of Leslie's grandfathers already had profiles on WikiTree. They are Thomas Dengate (who I created the profile for back in 2018!), and Silas Thomas

The Thomas line now goes back a further 2 generations beyond Nathan's tree.

I've added Benjamin Harvey and Susanna Sellens, as the parents of Jane Harvey. They are not shown on Nathan's tree, so I claim bounty points for them please.

Great work Carol.  You are the first to get bounty points this week.

Thank you Joan.

I've just linked Harriet Martin, to her parents Thomas Martin and Lucy Ballard. They already had profiles created on WikiTree, but they were not shown on Nathan's tree. The Martin line now goes back to about 1725, but is in need of sourcing. I'll add what I can to confirm the relationships.

Nice work, Carol!!

Parents added for Esther Christian, they were Andrew Christian and Susannah Mockford. Neither are shown on Nathan's Ancestry tree.

I am working on Leslie's great grandmother: Hannah (Banister) Ashdown and have found her parents (previously not on WT) - Thomas and Hannah Banister.

Nathan's Ancestry tree shows Ann Avery as the wife of Thomas Ashdown. Avery was her married name, her maiden name was Holland. I've created profiles for her parents William Holland and Mary Newman.

Wow, Carol and Ros, you guys are amazing!

Have broken through Nathan's brick wall of Hannah (Banister) Ashdown.  Another jump to her parents, Thomas Bannister and Hannah Munday.  And another jump to Hannah Munday's parents: James Munday and his wife Hannah Taylor, who married in 1784.  So I've got Nathan back to his 5 x great grandparents.

Any bounty points available to claim?

You got 10 points for the mother of Hannah Bannister, as her father was already on the tree. If you find Thomas Bannister's parents that would be 20 points more smiley

And the Ashdowns are already on WT back to 1651 (done before this Challenge).

Should be bounty points.
Nice work, Cheryl. Joseph's parents were the bounty points.
Sarah, we've added your Paddon/Harris bounty points.
Mindy, didn't get the bounty points for Joseph's parents.
Added William Stephens as father for Amelia Stevens.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stephens-14264

Not sure if he is bounty points or not.
Another brickwall down - Elizabeth (Bartlett) Smith (abt.1834-)‘s parents are George Bartlett (1803-) and Elizabeth (Leeland) Bartlett (abt.1813-)
WooHoo Maddy! Nice work!

Broken the Smith brickwall in London! George Smith’s parents were https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Smith-243738 and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hockley-300

Awesome, Maddy! That brought us to 600 bounty points!
