I am 19 degrees from Beth Stephenson connected through a Cool/Knight marriage.

We are also 9th cousins, twice removed.  Common ancestor; Thomas Beason..

Not for me, we are 20 degrees apart. However, we are ninth cousins once removed, both of us being descended from Peter Dicks, originally from Chester, Cheshire.

On a side note, I see that one year later, our connections have dropped to 18, which means are connectors are working hard!

We are ninth cousins but several marriages made our connections drop to 16.

Yes, 18 degrees.  Also very distant cousins, 16th cousins, twice removed.  But, as someone else has already said, a cousin is a cousin!  :)
