Hello Team Missouri participants!

Is this the right place to go for Team Missouri? If so, you can disregard my previous message.

Sarah
I forgot, when does this event start? And for how long? I've been so busy working on my Missouri newfound relatives that I feel like I may have missed it.
Hey Sarah! The event starts next Friday, the 23rd at 8 AM and runs till Monday at 8 AM. So you haven't missed it!
Thank you very much! I was so afraid I had missed it as I have been very busy working on one of my Missouri family lines and am working with many new family members that I never knew existed.

Ok since I am new to this team I have a question on how to handle a profile. I have researched John Hunter, John Hunter who is on the Unsourced list. I have looked at FamilySearch and Ancestry and looked at every link on the parents pages and cannot find any record of them ever having a child by the name of John. How should I handle this profile?

I found another one Caleb Catalino Delor (Delor-5) like the above. No parents showing, no records found anywhere. Born and died on the same date so may never have been reported if he was born at home or because it was in 1998 may not have been put in the system yet.

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Yahoo! I just found 7 or 8 people on our team that I am related to.
Ok, here is another question. How do we access people on the report that are privatized because they are still living but haven't been worked on since 2020?
You can't.
Oh, and please post as an answer not a comment. You'll get more responses.
Thank you!

I signed up for this today on Eowyn's question. I should be ready by the time it starts, learning the rules, what to do, etc.smiley

Awesome! Happy to have you onboard with us. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here. This event is pretty easy and lots of fun.

By the way, we're 9th cousins three times removed. You may want to see if you're related to anyone else on the team. A number of us are distant cousins.

Hello! I'm located in NEA and have been following lines through my area, SEMO, and parts of Kentucky. I'm excited for this 'thon'! I know the event isn't now, but can I work on it early?

You can get your feet wet and that's about it. Nothing you do now will count.

Hey Team Missouri!  Just in time for the Clean A Thon...

The State of Missouri has added one more year to their on-line death certificate database!  Now 1910-1970. Check it out here:

Cool! I just wish I could find out when my great grand daddy died. I'd like to solve that one before I pass on myself. Great find cousin!

Yeah, cousin Lori the status button issue doesn't seem to be slowing you down that much.... don't know how you do it, but nice job!
The first three hours yesterday were pretty frustrating.

Guess I found my rhythm though. lol

Thank you! I was in 4th last night when I went to bed. I'm so happy I didn't lose a bunch of places. Ditto for the team. We only lost one place over night.
Until those darn Kiwi's wake up tonight overnight here :)  Then those mighty small team folks always seem to pass us , ugh !!

Just wanted to do a quick shout out to Jay and LaMyra! You guys are kicking booty! Keep it up! We're currently in eighth.

I don't know how you do it.  My hands start to ache.
Desk top with a cordless mouse and a laptop with a track ball. Hand cramps up something fierce after a while on the mouse. I learned that a long time ago as a designer on the computer all day and in the evening. You have to switch it up.
