New member introducing myself

Hello there!

I am currently researching my family tree and I have managed to get all the way back to 1046! I have found some very interesting people amongst my ancestors, including the Duttons from Sherborne Manor, England, the Baynards from Lackham Hall, England and a knight from Arundel Castle in West Sussex, England.

It's all quite exciting but the person I am really looking for is much closer to home. It's my paternal grandmother, born in Ireland in 1911.

I have her birth certificate and marriage certificate. But at some point in the 1940s she left her husband and children and ran away with another man.

And there, the trail goes cold. Ice cold.

I really don't know where to look next, or what websites to use to find out what happened to her. I would be very grateful for any help regarding my next move please.

Thank you. :)

Hi Tracy. Thank you for your question. It's fine to ask here on G2G, although as David has said, you could also find it very useful to upgrade to Family membership.

It might help people to provide suggestions if you give some additional information about your grandmother, for example her birth and married name, and exact birth and marriage locations and dates.

Thank you.

Does this mean I’m not allowed to ask a question unless I have upgraded to the Family Member level?

I’m a bit confused.
You are welcome as a guest to participate in the G2G Forum but in order to start adding your family and ancestors profile to the tree, you would need to upgrade to a family member account.
Thank you.
