Hi, WikiTreers -

I am researching an NPE and have verified through DNA testing that our ancestor was the son of a man whose surname was "Henry".

Our ancestor was John Eckert, b. 1765 in Germany twp., Adams Co., PA, although at that time the area was in York Co., PA.

He was raised by his mother, Catherine Pfoutz, b. 1738, d/o Hans Jacob Pfoutz/Fautzen & Anna M. Kuntz, and Catherine's husband, John (Johannes) Eckert, b. 1734 in Lancaster Co., PA.

Johannes (1734-1811) left a portion of his estate to John (1765-1850)  A case was taken to Orphan's Court by Johannes' youngest son, Abraham Eckert, and the judge ordered that the land be sold.  John left PA and went to OH about 1813.

We believe that the "Henry" man we are looking for probably lived in the same (Lancaster, York, Adams), or neighboring counties.
