Adding sons and wifes GEDmatch IDs

Hello,

I have successfully linked my GEDmatch ID to my profile, and added my wife and son to the tree here. I now need to enter their GEDmatch IDs onto their profiles as we have all taken a Ancestry DNA test, but whenever I try to do this, it says there is already a kit applied, and it reverts back to my profile ID.

Sorry, but you can't enter DNA information for another living person, just for yourself.  You can add their email addresses to their profiles which will generate an invitation to join. They'll need to join Wikitree and enter the information themselves.  Once they've done that they can leave management of their profiles to you.

They can add you to Trusted List, if you are removed, when they become a member.   It is all part of the Privacy of profiles.

As noted already each individual must enter their own DNA information.  However it always appropriate to provide whatever assistance is necessary to help individuals that are new to Wikitree.
