Advice before editing this pre-1700 Ouellet profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Pierre Ouellet. This is what I can add:

• date de naissance: 1771-10-28 in Kamouraska, Kamouraska, QUébec

These are the sources I am using:

• Lafrance(BMS)

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Hi Gas,

I believe that the correct profile for the baptismal source that you referenced is Alexis Pierre Ouellet (see Isabelle Martin's comment near the bottom of the profile page to which you linked). And it appears that a freely accessible version of that baptismal source (from Family Search) is already cited on the correct profile.

I'd suggest editing your original post to add the tag quebecois, as members from that project will likely be able to help out with issues and/or project guidelines that might be applicable for those profiles.
