Hi! My name is Michaela Morgan. I grew up in Syracuse, NY but have lived in the New York City area for the past 15 years.

My roots are from County Clare, Ireland (Butler, Morgan, Cusack), Madison County, NY (Stanton, Hoxie, Howe) and Windham, VT (Thurber, Tuttle).

I’m fortunate to have had close relationships with my older grandparents, which is how I got interested in family history at a young age. I’ve visited family burial plots in Ireland & Rhode Island.

Welcome Michaela Morgan, you will find this site unlike most others. It is not only a world wide tree concept but makes a concerted effort in accuracy. I am on other sites like ancestry. They are useful as a tool for research but I find many, many mistakes and inaccurate information. They offer no easy way to flag mistakes or incorrect information! I am not going to message dozens of strangers and distant cousins individually to point out these things. Most ignore you anyway on those sites. I have many ancestors that came from/ through Onondaga and Madison Counties. I also have many early ancestors from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. I may be of help in tracing your Morgan line if they came from Massachusetts or Connecticut. I spent many years searching for mine among those different early Morgan groups. Best of luck!
