New member introducing myself

Question

Hello Everyone,

My name is Patrick Riel.  My Grandfather was Maurice Herve Riel of Gatineau/Hull, PQ.  His father (my Great Grandfather) was Joseph Herve Riel b 1877 in P.Q., and my Great-Great Grandfather was Francois-Xavier Riel b. 1845.  There are a few along the family tree with the name Jean-Baptiste Riel and I am trying to make the connection to this Jean-Baptiste Riel (wiki/Riel-49).  Can anyone help?

Sorry I don't know anything about your Riel ancestors, but I thought that I'd stop by and say hi. Maybe you could send a private message to the profile manager of Riel-49 and see if they know anything about possible connections to your branches?

This is amazing!  Thank you so much.  So I think that Riel 387 is the same person as Riel 384.  This would be my Great Great Grandfather.  Is there a way to confirm or deny this?  If they are the same is there a way to merge the data?
