Evidence for the birthplace/date and parentage of John Field [closed]

Question

The profile of John Field the Puritan preacher was previously conflated with that of John Field of East Ardsley, Yorkshire (the Astronomer). They have been unpicked but it seems that one cause of the original conflation was the unsourced mini biography for Field the Preacher in the well used and respected "Field Genealogy" (1901). This gives a birth year of 1519 and a birth place of Bradford, Yorkshire. It has been copied into several other printed genealogies that I have found.

The birth year seems unlikely given that Field was ordained in London aged 21 in 1566 (Ordination certificate held in the London Guildhall library - see profile)

Is there any sourced evidence outside of "Field Genealogy" which would support the birth place and date currently given? Otherwise I plan to disconnect John Field from the Bradford family and change his birth year to about 1545.

Yes, I was really surprised that Pierce's volumes of Field Genealogy would be described as 'respected'.

We previously discussed another faulty link from Pierce's book at https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/635945/is-theophilus-field-the-4th-ggf-of-thomas-jefferson.  The link was to James Field, the immigrant.  That one also lacked evidence.  The other Field books do all seem to rely on Pierce.

@ John  -  My research hadn't encountered Pierce before, and by the number of "retweets" he had had of his work (sometimes verbatim) I thought I had better be respectful. I know better now!
