I’d like to correct/update and own a profile of my 4th Great Grandfather, the current owner won’t ack my requests.

Please note that since the profile you are interested in has Open Privacy, you do not need to be on the Trusted List or a Profile Manager in order to make sourced edits.

Hi, Matthew, and welcome to WikiTree. At WikiTree no one owns profiles but you can either be on the Trusted List or a Profile Manager. Have you made a request to be on the Trusted List via a request made from the Privacy tab? If so and there is no response, make your request as a Comment directly on the profile and also on the profile page of each profile manager (I see two of them on this profile). As a family member, the courteous thing for the PMs to do is add you to the Trusted List but they are not obligated to make you a Profile Manager. I see that both profile managers are active on WikiTree. If they simply don't respond to you within a week, post back here and someone will assist you further.

Adding to the above, it does not appear that PM Adcox-24 is related to the subject of the profile but Tuttle-2196 is related.
