Re St_Leger-127

I would suggest that the above Anne (St Leger) Skinner is not

1. the daughter of John St Leger and his wife Margery or

2. the wife of John Skinner-407 or

3. the mother of John Skinner-419

The transcript of the Will made by John St Leger on 12 December 1441 only mentions daughters Florence, Margaret and Alice – available to view here https://www.kentarchaeology.org.uk/Research/Libr/Wills/Lbth/Bk23/page%20248.htm

To clarify regarding the will linked, which is the will for John St. Leger, it names:

  • Margery my wife
  •  Ralph my son
  • Thomas my son
  • Richard my son
  • Florence, Margaret and Alice my daughters
I agree that, without any sources for Anne's existence, she should be detached.  The PM on her profile is pre-1500 certified, so she will hopefully respond and detach Anne.  Thanks for pointing this out!

Someone with pre-1500 approval should detach the parents: there is no evidence (bar ancestry trees - which are typically beyond tertiary "sources") for the parentage and as you listed, evidence against. In 1441, there was likely no Anne St Leger, married or unmarried, in existence. The entire line up and down is almost entirely unsourced. Someone needs to go in there and add unsourced categories to all of it.
