Dear Nicholas,

Nice to meet you.  Welcome to WikiTree!  It sounds like you have a wonderful heritage.  Be sure to put information about Gibbstown House and Clongil Castle in the profiles of your ancestors.  Got any photos?

Glad to have you here! -NGP

In looking up your ancestor, Samuel Gerrard, in Wikipedia, they show him born in 1767 - March 24, 1857. Canadian fur trader, businessman, militia officer, justice of the peace, politician, and seigneur.

Gerarrd Street in Toronto is named in his honour.

He died in Montreal at age 89-90.

Samuel Gerrard is also in the Dictionary of Canadian Biography.

His profile is at WikiTree and there is not Profile Manager for him at this time. His wife is Ann Grant who he married on 31 Oct 1792 in Montreal, Lower Canada. His parents and children are not shown yet.

Hi Nicholas, and welcome to WikiTree. Thank you for introducing yourself to us in our g2g forum.  I would like to recommend that you upgrade to a family membership.  It is 100% free and you would be able to add tags. Tags can be names and locations of your ancestors. By adding these tags you would be connected to other members of WikiTree that are researching the same names and locations that you are. You may even find you have relatives already on WikiTree.

Once again, welcome to WikiTree and I hope you love it as much as I do.
