William and his spouse had 7 kids btween 1836 and 1849. She probably died 1849- 1850 because she isn't listed on the 1850 census. I would think one of her girls might have been named for her, but I haven't found a Selena,Jutilla, Rosetta, Mary, Nircissy Jane, Drucilla, or an Edmonia. So many Hays families in Montgomery, Missouri. They show up later in Duck Creek, Missouri.

Thanks but this probably isn't the right William Hays who was born in Kentucky not Virginia. Their first child Selena was born in 1836. As I mentioned, there were many Hays families in Montgomery Missoui. And William and 3 of his kids show up in 1860 living with daughter Selena and her new husband George H. Law, in Duck Creek, Stoddard, Missouri. This Elizabeth could have been a second spouse, but Daviess Co. is in the western part of Missouri.
