John de Mowbray's birth place ?

I had a merge request come up, and checking it out I see John de Mowbray, Mowbray-54, born 1286, appears to be born in Chambs, Norfolk. I live in Norfolk, and there is no Chambs here. The nearest I can find is a misspell of the abbreviation of Cambridgeshire, a different county altogether. Does anybody check these things first ?

Doubt if anybody knows where he was born.  His family had 100 manors.  But if you had to guess, you'd say Axholme.

But that's the least of his problems.  He needs to shed a wife and at least 2 kids.  And his daughter-in-law didn't really marry a baby, and she wasn't really Duchess of York.

Actually I can only find one kid.  Alexander and Christine are popular adoptees, but I haven't figured out who the other 6 kids are.
