Burkholder Families being mixed up

I have documented information on my Burkholder family line...yet others insist on changing the information to fit their needs, or something. I'm finding that the integrity of the family tree line is now destroyed. What to do?

I can only write what I would do.

I would write the person who changed the Information and ask why they changed it and if they have sources for the changes.

And if he has sources, he should add them as image so that you compare them.

After waiting two weeks I would change them again and write a remark on the changed profile why I changed them again. And the most important thing is to add your sources. Good would be as image so that everybody could read them.

It is a mess but if IT is an open profile, I think you cannot do anything else.

It is good manners to comment when changes are made and to list sources that prompt the change. Contact them directly to discuss the change and hopefully the matter can be resolved.

I have to be careful that I am not so attached to a bit of info that I cannot think it mistaken. Sometimes they are right.
