i have lots of info on the two MD Francis Mauldins.  one from Calvert County, one from Cecil County.  in Ancestry.com people have mixed them up badly, so i have created two charts for them.  i am from the Cecil Co Mauldins, and have documents and info including some pics, from Henry Mauldin to where our line ends in 1914.  also, i have take the dna test at Ancestry.com and have many Mauldins in my dna thru-lines.   how do i connect my dna record to yours?  thanks.  js i dont know what that stuff b elow is about........

I would like to see you join WikiTree (its free) and re-write the biography yourself since you are familiar with the family. It is hard to read in its present format.

Otherwise you could contact one of the profile managers and give them the information that you have. There is no guarantee that they will make the necessary changes, which is why I suggest that you join and do it yourself.

We would love to have you in the project.  Please email me at Nachalink@yahoo.com.  I would also recommend that you join wikitree and put your profile and family tree here and upload your dna to GEDmatch and attach the test to your tree here.

You tagged ydna.  Did a male line do ydna?

I would recommend that you download your autosomal test and upload it to sites that have tools.  The Mauldin project is at FamilytreeDNA (FTDNA). This is the only site that I know of with projects. Please give me access so I can view your matches. FTDNA accepts uploads from other companies for no cost.  There is a small cost to use the tools.

I would also recommend uploading it to GEDmatch, Genie and MyHeritage.  You get different matches at other databases and they have chromosome browsers which Ancestry lacks.  I would also appreciate an invitation to view your matches at Ancestry.  I will be glad to help you with any of this if you will email me.

I have a lot of documents on the MD Mauldins.  I have heard arguments that the Cecil and Calvert County lines both are and are not connected, but have not found anything definitive to prove either theory.  We do not have a ydna sample for the MD line and I would very much like to have the MD line well represented in the project, but have to be very careful that it is a documented MD line as a lot of people try to tie into the MD line when they are more likely descended from the VA Richard Maudlns.

Hope to hear from you.
