Welcome to G2G, Neal.

See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Editing_Tips

By adding a colon (:) at the start of each data line (see 8.4 Indentations), this is how it will look:

Another way. Give a try adding "Line Breaks" at the end of each line, instead of ":" at the start of each line.

Although line breaks will not provide an indent at the beginning of each line.  The link Ruben provided is an excellent view of what wiki markup can and can't do.

I find the tool at https://tools.wmflabs.org/magnustools/tab2wiki.php works really well for copying info from Census. Although it says Excel Table, I find that I can copy the list of residents from a Census and use it to easily create a table on the profile. Little ugly in Edit mode, but looks good when viewing.

You can just 'copy' the family list from a census and 'paste' it into a profile.  I do that and add a double ':' in front of each line to indent it a bit, which is what Ruben has done above.

<code> should do that.  The MediaWiki manual says it's supported, but on WikiTree it doesn't seem to work.
