I have asked about this before & we thought that we had it sorted.  There were two Benjamin Barrett's born in Norfolk in 1801 & 1802. They both married Mary Anne's (Nightingale & Brock ) Benjamin #1 has no birth records on Family Search but Benjamin #2 has ( Garboldisham ) Can anyone assist please as my Barrett line above Benjamin Barrett is about to be demolished if I am wrong. I do not have access to the paid sites ( Ancestry etc)

Okay, Miss Vivian

but the images are hard to read  ! ? !

Do they convey the same information I found on Ancestry?
Hi Eddie

Yes, but it's always good to see the images because they sometimes provide more information. The only one I had a problem reading was the marriage image for Barrett/Nightingale.

The marriage entry for George Barrett confirms that he was the son of Benjamin, the Schoolmaster, and the 1851 census for that family confirms Benjamin was born in Yarmouth. The details you provided from Ancestry helped me locate the images at FamilySearch reasonably quickly.
Hello & thanks to all who are attempting to assist me with this puzzle. In reply my Wiki ref is Barrett - 9581. There is only 1 original entry in Wiki ( mine ) that I carried over from Ancestry. Here he is married to Mary Anne Nightingale (His Family search ref KGZH-7R6 ) His dob 1801 was calculated from a census record. The other Benjamin Barrett in Family search dob 1802 is ref LSJQ-63L He was married to Mary Anne Brock. The Ancestry record goes back several years ( could be incorrect ) I hope that this helps. I am searching for his birth records & parents as Thomas Barrett & Elizabeth Stebbing may belong to LSJQ-63L & not to " my " Benjamin. Hope that this makes sense. Ignore the previous BB's as they were ancestors of the guy that we are looking for.

From Vivian's comment about the marriage of Benjamin Barrett and Mary Brock, that Benjamin was from the parish of Garboldisham, I think that currently Benjamin Barrett (Barrett-9581) is married to the wrong woman.

It makes more sense that the BB who was baptised, buried and living at Garboldisham in the 1851 census would come from there in the record of his marriage.

The BB who married Mary Ann Nightingale, is more likely to be the BB who was born 1 Nov and baptised 3 Nov 1798 at Great Yarmouth, the son of Thomas Barrett and Mary Woolard that Eddie has identified above.

There is another BB baptised at Great Yarmouth on 22 Sep 1797 the son of William Barrett and Martha Mountford, but it looks like he died young and was buried at Great Yarmouth on 13 Mar 1799.  This is from searching FreeREG, so these are transcriptions, but usually reasonably reliable.
Hi to everyone who assisted in sorting out Benjamin Barrett. I will continue now to remove the ancestors that belong to BB & Mary Brock & work on BB born in 1798 who married Mary Anne Nightingale. As to who gave the best answer I am stuck. you should all be Wonderful Wikitreers especially Eddie, Vivian & John. It is so encouraging when members work together for the comman good. Thanks again to you all.
