William is my gggrandfather. He was married to Nancy Jane Davison Leak Webb (Davison-3424). We believe that he was also married to a woman before Nancy Jane with the last name of Jessee but no first name is recollected. Thanks so much. Everything that I have is on William and Nancy Jane's profile pages.

according to all census records, William was born about 1820, not 1835
Hi Roger - Yes William was first married to Dorothy Jessee.  I have found a bit of info which I will pass on to you after I check further.
Thank you!

I don't know if my ancestor, Edmund Webb and William Webb were related. Edmund Webb born Dec. 4, 1810, most records claim Tenn. married Celia Morrison abt 1832, moved about the same time as the Morrison family from Sullivan County, Tenn. to New Ross (formerly Valley City) Montgomery county, Indiana, in 1835. William Webb, (find a grave) died June 1, 1874, 54 yrs. 9 months, 22 days which figures out to born August 10, 1819, (Tenn) On the 1850 census, William Webb listed with George W & Arty (Morrison) Tipton, Arty & Celia Morrison were sisters.

William Webb. owned 40 acres NE corner of SW 1/4 section of section #36, New Ross was in NW 1/4 section of #36, Walnut Township. 1/2 mile east of James b. Jessee.

Some names ( That I've seen) of William Webb children, James B. Webb (probably after James B. Jessee 1/2 mile  west of William in the west 1/2 section of number #35)  William L. Webb. Thomas Jefferson Webb, Amanda Louise Webb.

Some children of Edmund Webb. Thomas Henderson Webb. James R. Webb. William J. Webb. Louisa Caroline Webb & Amanda Ellen Webb.

FHL film 101245292 online image 438 of 619, David M. Turner & Amanda L. Webb. Oct. 9, 1892, by Rev. Thomas J. Brown, am Methodist minister, formed a church in New Ross.

The 1880 census, Edmund Webb listed father born Virginia, mother in Tenn. (Tenn. not formed till 1796) so mother probably born in Virginia or North Carolina.

Don't know if William & Edmund were related, an I haven't been able to go any further back then them. Maurice

Thanks for your reply, but this is not the William Webb of my ancestry.  My William Webb was married to Sophia Downing and they lived and died in Ontario, Canada.  It's possible they were all distantly related, but I'm finding that Webb seems to be a pretty common name....almost like Smith or Jones.  Sorry, I think I may have answered the wrong person.  I absolutely have NOT been able to figure out how to use Wiki-Tree.
Maurice, This is terrific information! Thank you very much for following up. I have several family photos and other connections that you will likely be interested in. All of your information fits almost perfectly. How is it best to communicate? My direct email is roger.pierson@usask.ca if that helps. Amities, Roger
