Captain Kidd needs a better biography

Question

Back in February, I suggested to the profile manager that the biography had some conflicts in information, starting with his birth year.   It is a long biography with no in-line citations, so hard to figure out what is "truth" and what is "legend"

Someone want to take this on?

From what I read in other places, probably something on Ancestry, William Kidd has no direct descendants. He had a daughter I think and can't remember if she died before childbearing age or if she had kids but they would have had their father's last name instead of Kidd. I don't remember too much about it but I do remember someone saying all those people claiming to be descendants of Capt Kidd were blowing smoke. LOL
