Merging profiles of living

Question

A profile manager has expressed the desire to merge the profile of her living father with a duplicate that I manage. What is the procedure for doing this?  Can the profile be unlocked and then reset to unlisted?

I think the best way to handle this would be for you to make this other member a trusted list member for the profile you manage, and for the other member to make you a member of the trusted list for the profile they manage. Once that is done, either one of you could complete the merge and both of you will end up on with access to the merged profile.

Have you proved the merge?  If so, have you both approved it?  That is the point when you probably need admin to complete the merge.  

I am not sure if you can propose or complete a merge with living people but I would 'assume' you can if you are the PM.

Send an email to info@ wikitree.com if you can't propose it or  if you can propose it, both have agreed to it, but you can't complete it. Make sure to include the wikitree IDs and the reasoning for it.
