Who did Ann Elizabeth Clarke marry?

Ann Elizabeth Clarke was born in 1803 (approximately) in Richmond, Rhode Island. She had two children: Lydia Clarke (who married Solomon Potter and then Alney Nutting) and Ann (who married Perry Bates). Ann Elizabeth Clarke died May 12 of 1885.
I am trying to find who she married and if possible her maiden name.

I don't believe that Ann Elizabeth was ever married.  Census reports always show the daughters as "implied child".  Any legal documents concerning the daughters in later life identify "father" as "unknown".
