Problems with WikiTree X

Earlier today, I had been editing profiles, then I used WikiTree X to create a profile and it wouldn't create it came up with this message

Karen, you'll want to immediately go back, edit your question, and remove the email address you included. Email addresses posted on G2G are "in the clear," meaning that anyone can see them...including the "'bots" that scour the internet collecting addresses to add to spammer lists. You don't want that happening; trust me.

Don't reset your e-mail address if you get this message it will only change your "Account confirmed date when you became a member to the current date" my account went from 2013 to 2020, and WikitreeX still has a problem with the computer using Windows 8. The computer using Windows 10 works fine, I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem.
I have the misfortune to be using Windows 10 xxx

Karen, send a message to Jamie.

Reference this G2G, as well as this one which she answered earlier, asking if the problem with the other user with the same problem was using WikiTree X

I've seen 3 reports of this, but I can't seem to get it to happen when using WikiTree X. Do you have links to some of the records you were trying to create profiles from?

I'll give that a shot in a little bit, Justin.

Justin, and others that have an issue with the problems listed above. I have two computers with the same "apps" I tried "Updating a Profile" on Find A Grave and found that it would work on one computer but not on the other. I CLEARED BROWSING HISTORY AND COOKIES in Google Chrome on the computer that had the problem and found the "fix"​​​​​​​yes! Hope this works for other users. Try Clearing Browsing History And Cookies.

Well, I cleared cookies, and that didn't fix it. I wouldn't think history would affect anything, so I didn't do that. I need it. :-)

Oh, and I did clear cached files, too.

Just sat down here again, though, so I'm going to try disabling all my extensions except WikiTree X and see what happens.
OK ... I had to turn off all my extensions (except WikiTree X), clear the cache & cookies again, and restart Chrome, but it's now working.

If I identify a specific extension that seems to be breaking things, I'll let you all know.
Julie, I disabled one app and had to CLEAR BROWSING HISTORY AND COOKIES before it would work. I reinstalled the app (Grammarly for Chrome) and then I had to clear browsing history and cookies again to get it to work. Hope this helps. Also, you will have to "LOG IN TO WIKITREE AGAIN" after clearing History and Cookies.

It seems if I clear my cache & cookies and restart Chrome, WikiTree X works ONCE. If I try to use it again, I am taken to the login screen. ~shrug~

I am still having problems with WikiTree X, cleared all the cookies, and still no go sad xxx

I am still unable to use WikiTree X, I have cleared all the cookies etc, and tried to add a child for [[Clemson-324|Roger Clemson]] and it came up with the "Your email has not been confirmed" message sad xxx

To anyone who is currently experiencing the problem, send me a private message or email if you'd be willing to do a screenshare with me to help debug the problem.
