Birth

Hannah _____ was probably born about 1790. In the 1850 Census, she is shown as 52 years old, born in Maine,^[1] but in the 1860 Census, she is shown as 70 years old, born in Maine.^[2] The earlier birth appears more likely. Her only known child was born in 1831, and had she been born in 1808 (as implied by the age in 1850), it is likely she would have had more children; but if she was born in 1790, the son born in 1831 could well have meant the end of her child-bearing years.

Marriage

Hannah _____ married Andrew Grant, by the birth of their only known child, at Hampden, Maine, on 8 Sep 1831.^[3]

Death

No record has been found of the death of Hannah Grant. She does not appear in the household of her son, Andrew E. Grant, in the 1870 Census, so she probably had died before then.^[4]
