Edmund Ralph Saunders, 92, of Falmouth and formerly of Lunenburg, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born in Berwick, Ed was the son of the late Charles Kenneth and Bessie Olivia (Cox) Saunders. Ed served in World War II and then practiced law in Lunenburg for many years. He is survived by daughter Joanne (John) and their family, sisters, Amanda (Paul) Whitman, Berwick; Emily Beaton, Victoria B.C. sister in-law, Marjorie Saunders of Berwick and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his spouse the former Reta Walker, sisters, Eva, Cecelia, Margaret and brothers, Guilford and Douglas. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A graveside committal service will be held at a later date at the Berwick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, or to the Windsor Elms Village. [1]
