Birth and Parents

Esther (Perham) Spaulding was born in Massachusetts.

Esther, the fifth of eight children of Benoni Perham and Sarah Robbinswas born on 28 August 1713 at Chelmsford, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^[1]

Marriages and Children

Esther was married twice. She married 1) John Adams on 24 November 1743. Marriage notice was entered 15 October 1743 at Chelmsford.^[2]They had five children born at Chelsmford:

1. Benjamin Adams (b. 5 Nov 1744; d. 1826)^[3]m. 1) 21 Nov 1769 at Chelmsford, MA, Mary Foster (1743-1785); 2) 23 Dec 1787 at Chelmsford, MA, Hannah Spaulding (1766-1849)

John Adams (alias Adames) died on 16 December 1753 at Chelmsford.^[8]

Esther married 2) Josiah Spaulding, the son of Timothy and Thankful Persis (Prescott) Spaulding on 25 November 1760 at Chelmsford, Massachusetts.^[9] There were no children from this union.

Death and Burial

Esther (Perham) Adams-Spaulding died on 21 January 1790 in her 76th year at Chelmsford.^[10]She is buried in the Forefathers Burial Ground at Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts.^[11]
