Biography
Abner Norton served with Dukes County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.
Abner Norton is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A084704.
When Abner Norton was baptized on October 19, 1740, in Dukes, Massachusetts, his father, Isaac, was 31 and his mother, Hannah, was 20. He married Mary Claghorn and they had 6 children together. He then married Hannah Claghorn (Widow Bartlett) in Edgartown, Massachusetts. He died in 1813 in his hometown at the age of 73.
He resided in Tisbury, Massachusetts them removed to New Vineyard, Maine about 1790[1]
