Hannah Grant is the second of two children born to David Grant & Wanda Jones. The Grant family moved from her birthplace in Kansas up to Michigan as David followed his career as a civil employee for the United States Army. Hannah was named so after her 3rd great grandmother Hannah Dempsey (nee Butler) from her father's maternal side. The middle name Maureen was given in lieu of the famous Maureen O'Hara, a popular actress of the parents decade. The family all still resides locally in Michigan, a halfway point between the parents origins of Midwestern United States and Canada.

Hi Hannah, Thanks for working on slavery profiles. The US Black Heritage Project just cleaned up 6 years worth of slavery categories and going forward it would be great if we kept things consistent on these category pages. We now have a help page for how we'd like to have these set up. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:US_Black_Heritage:_Instructions_for_Slavery_Categories
This might be related to the children of Maynard Hack and my 2nd Great Aunt, Myrtle Leona Lyon. I am not sure whether I have the complete list of thier children. My files indicate 3 boys--- William, Walter and Merrill. Let me know if the trail sounds right, to reach your Grandma Dorothy.
😊
Say, it looks like I just found a shortcut between your Adams family and our Member of the Week Alicia Taylor. I see today on your profile page you're 21 degrees removed from her, but perhaps tomorrow you'll be a lot closer. : )

Welcome to the Ontario Team! Would you be interested in setting up an Ontario free-space page for the Category: Métis Province of Ontario? You can see similar free-space pages on the Ontario Team's main page. If you think it might be useful, please let me know and we can discuss it.
Greg Lavoie, Dave Rutherford and I have put a lot of work into restructuring the Canada Project. Have a look at the new project page.
You'll see that we've changed the project name to the Canada Project and the badge will be changed shortly. We've done this in order to provide lots of ways for people to contribute to Canadian Profiles. We've also moved towards a team approach with top level teams being lead by Project Coordinators and sub-teams being lead by Team Leaders.
Would you like to continue in the Canada Project, and if so, which team(s) would you like to be on?
Let me know if you have any questions. Once I hear back from you I'll add you to the Google group and get you set up in your team(s).
