Biography

Delbert was born in 1948. He was the son of Harvey McWhorter and Cora Scurlock. He passed away in 2005.

He married Virginia Elinor Howson on May 8th, 1994. His step-children were Jim Tackett Jr., Lindsey Tackett and Jeanette (Tackett) Harris.

Deb was a truck driver and an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and photographing nature. He loved to laugh.

He had an ornery nature, was always fun to be around and was surely a kid at heart. When the rest of the family had gone somewhere and they came home, he always had the fresh coffee on! He treasured the time he spent with Lindsey, whether it was in the woods, hunting or on the bank fishing. He never had children of his own blood, but hope that we served him well as his children.

Delbert passed away on 26 December, 2005 in Jackson County, Ohio followed with burial at the Byer Cemetery in Byer, Jackson County, Ohio.
