Research Notes

MA SOLS and SAILS lists Joshua Marshall's service as occuring in both 1777 and 1779, but the 1777 service doesn't make sense if he was born in 1763. He would have only been 14 years old. 16 years old was usually the youngest age to commonly enlist.
