UNUSUAL CAUSE IN BOY'S DEATH

Water coming in contact with a bealed ear while swimming at the New Kensington Y.M.C.A. pool yesterday afternoon is believed to have caused the death of George K. Lasher, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Lasher, of 227 Fifth avenue, New Kensington, in the Citizens General Hospital last night. The lad who had been suffering with a sore ear for several days, had gone to the pool during the afternoon. Shortly after returning to his home late in the day he was taken ill. His condition continued to grow worse and shortly after 7:00 p.m. he was hurried to the hospital. He died at 8:15 o'clock. The lad's parents formerly resided on a farm near Tarentum. He was a nephew of John Lasher, of Pittsburgh, who formerly conducted a store in Sixth avenue, Tarentum. Besides his parents he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Milldollar, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Cora, at home, three brothers, John, Homer and Ernest Lasher, of New Kensington. Funeral services will be held from the family residence Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Union cemetery.
