Private Joshua Grant served with York County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Joshua Grant served under command of Capt. Johnson Moulton, York County Minute-Men, 21 Apr 1775, Lexington Alarm.

  As of 13 Nov 2023, Pam Belanger is removing Hannah (Littlefield) Grant (1727-1746) as mother of Joshua Grant. Joshua was baptized in 1749, presumably as an infant; this is several years after Hannah's death which is enter as 1746. Neither birth record for this Joshua or Hannah Littlefield, nor death record for Hannah (Littlefield) Grant, nor marriage record between Hannah Littlfield and Joshua Grant (bef.1715-1751) (attached as Joshua's father and Hannah's husband) has been found. I left Joshua Grant (bef.1715-1751) attached as father to Joshua as Joshua's baptismal record indicates father and son had the same name. I've left Joshua Grant (bef.1715-1751) attached as husband to Hannah (Littlefield) Grant (1727-1746) as well. There is a mention of Joshua Grant (bef.1715-1751) marrying a Hannah about 1741 in the compliaton "Descendents of Peter Grant (Scotch exile) of Kittery and Berwick, Maine," but that publcation does not cite a source. It does not give Hannah's last name at birth, nor her date of birth or death, nor a source for the marriage. If records are found that change the data, please add, reattach mother and son, and accept my appology! ^{[1] [2]}
