Esther Grant, b. 1 Sep 1760, was the third child of Sarah (Breed) & Joshua Grant of Stonington, Connecticut [1],[2].
She married 13 Jun 1784 at Stonington, Connecticut, Sands Cole [b. 21 Aug 1760 @ Hopkinton, Rhode Island, son of Joseph Cole & Phebe Niles]. They had 4 children, all born at or near Stonington, Connecticut [3]:
- Phebe Cole, b. 6 Feb 1786; married Nathan Pendleton; d. 17 may 1867 @ Westerly, Rhode Island
- Sarah Cole, b. 23 Mar 1791; d. 22 Aug 1811
- Susan Cole, b. 20 May 1793; married Daniel Carr; d. 1830 @ Ashoway, Rhode Island
- Sands Grant Cole, b. 31 Jul 1800; unmarried; d. 29 Sep 1827 @ Detroit, Michigan
