Born Circa 1640 in Hingham to John & Mary (Williams) Benson.^[1]

Married Sarah circa 1666, probably in Hull, Suffolk, MA.^[1]

Joseph died sometime before 1 December 1705, as evidenced by the fact that a deed dated that date to his son, Joseph Jr., refers to his father as deceased.^[2][1]
