Jacob was born in 1843. He passed away in 1911.
Jakob's birth is recorded in the Ringsted church, Ringsted district, Sorø, Denmark. He died at the age of 67 years. According to the parish register he committed suicide in the fir plantation by the railway in Ringsted. He and Laura lived at that time in Rønnedevej in Ringsted city ("vej" = "road").
Bodin and Arne Nielsen sent two pictures of the home of the Andreasens. They said it was difficult to estimate what parts of the house are original but thought the left wing, which is the stables, is not very old. The right wing is the apartment house, has a red roof which is rather new. When the Andreasens lived in the house, the roof was in all probability made of straw (thatched). Now the house has a small garden with trees and bushes, and they said fortunately the leaves were gone or they would not have been able to see anything of the house. the terrain is rather flat, and besides the small forests, it is used for farming. It is a typical Danish landscape with typical Danish farms and cottages.
The Ringsted church is very interesting. In the Middle Ages it was the church where the Danish kings and queens were buried, and you can still see their graves.
