Newt Thomas-71491 introducing myself

Just saying "hi."

I'm quite a mutt, so my family's genealogy is pretty varied, sometimes painful to read, and full of dead ends (e.g., no data about a Native American ancestor), ambiguity (e.g., which solder/slaver was the father?) and messy data (e.g., name spellings change all the time).

I look forward to learning how to be reasonably helpful and perhaps finding some interesting stories/connections.

Peace

Anything you contribute is helpful, anything you discover should be interesting. In less than 2 years, I have learned more than I ever expected here on Wikitree. Every contribution adds intrigue and a piece to the puzzle. Welcome to the mix!

Welcome to WikiTree Paul! With 150 contributions you already have 28 degree connection to me. I am sure our connection will grow closer.

A couple of things" (maybe 3) We have the tools to help you find sources! We have the desire to help, because you will probably turn out to be family, cousins, to those already here. And most of us are nice!

Tomorrow morning, about 8:30 ish CST the "Weekend Chat begins and lasts pretty much to early Monday morning.  It is no different that this, but we keep the tread going all weekend long. This is the best place to introduce yourself, and it was made for that purpose. I'll be there!

Hang in here because there is so much we can do for you to find your roots!  It's a learning curve!  We help in "Baby Steps", and the first step is introduce yourself again in Weekend Chat! We can share what ever we want on the home front, genealogy front, work or retirement front, vacation front, and the good time we had going out for pizza! This is the place we become friends!wink See you there!

90% of the time, a general claim of Native American ancestry turns out to be false. In the U.S. Europeans didn't mix much with the native people.
