Can anyone translate bash script to api?

I am a Linux user who has created scripts to take information from the Library and Archives Canada census website and create a link reference to that source. I used the files created to produce the census source lines in profiles of my mom's mother and her mother. If these could be useful, perhaps someone could turn them into something others can use. I welcome comments on the value of those references.

There are members of the Apps team that create tools to do just that: create inline citations. Maybe join them and work together?

I have previously written extensions for both Firefox and Chrome browsers that allow you to select text on the Trove Newspaper (Australia, free) site and form wiki-formatted text (selected quote and citation).

I imagine your bash script downloads the page and scrapes information from it?

Is that the sort of thing?

cite-trove (Chrome)

cite-trove (Firefox)

I believe they still work (apologies if they don't)

Missed Michel's answer whilst writing mine - his is probably a better suggestion.
Chris, yours has great examples!

Hi Fairch,

Ask in the Apps Google Group and maybe someone will want to work with you https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/wikitreeapps
