Eloisa was born in 1872. She was the daughter of Daniel Piper and Maria Ramos.
She was a patient at Carville Leprosy Clinic from 1938-1958.[1] She was cured, returned home to Key West but no one wanted to come near her. After 3 weeks she returned to Carville 1958-1964. She died alone at Carville in 1964. She is buried on the grounds of the Carville leprosy clinic in Louisiana. Her patient number marks her gravestone.[2]
