From Newspapers.com: - Mrs. Eliza Jane Gibson, who has been in failing health for a year or more, died last Friday afternoon, and the funeral services were held at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Louis Young, Sunday afternoon, the interment being at Armstrong Cemetery, east of town. Mrs. Gibson was 82 years of age at the time of her death and was the wife of Jas. Gibson, deceased who died over 50 years ago. She is survived by the following children: Elmer Gibson, of this city; Edward Gibson of Texas; Mrs. Fannie Dell of Louisville, Kentucky. Five brothers also survive her, as follows: Joseph Scott of Oklahoma; Samuel Scott, of Texas; Reverend T.S. Scott, J.W. Scott and B.F. Scott, of this vicinity.

-20 years ago- "Mrs. Eliza Gibson, 82, died here June 16. Funeral services being held at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Louis Young, interment being made in Armstrong Cemetery, east of Palmyra. Her husband preceded her in death. Three children survived, including Elmer Gibson of Palmyra, Edward Gibson of Texas, and Mrs. Fannie Dell of Kentucy. She was survived by five brothers, Jos. Scott of Oklahoma, Samuel Scott of Texas, Reverend T.S. Scott, J.W. Scott, and B.F. Scott of this county."
