Biography
Charles François Leclerc was born and baptized on 29 Dec 1850 in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli parish in L'Islet, Canada East. He was the son of Lucien Napoléon Leclerc, farmer, and Marie Léocadie Chouinard of this parish. Sponsors for François' baptism were Jean Baptiste Leclerc and Marie [Dupont?].
At age 23 Charles François, squire and surveyor, married Marie Zoele Chouinard on 14 Feb 1882 in Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours parish in L'Islet, Québec, Canada. The couple received a dispensation for two banns of marriage. There were two known children born into this marriage.
