Isaac Hall was born about 1808 in South Carolina. Isaac moved from South Carolina with his family to the Republic of Texas and received a land grant on 24 Oct 1839[1]. Isaac and his brothers were also involved in the Shelby County, Republic of Texas feud called the Regulator Moderator War. “One thing is certain: a meeting of the Provisional Committee of the Regulators was held at the home of Matthew Brinson on July 28, 1844. It resulted in a proclamation that twenty-five of the Moderators would have to leave the country within fifteen days. Moorman made out the list. Sheriff Llewellyn’s name came first, followed by those of John F. Cravens, five Haleys, two Todds, two Stricklands, and such men as Isaac Hall, John Anderson, and Laurel Lang.”[2].
