I'm not sure that's something we sticker.  It really doesn't fit in the occupation sticker. The civilian profiles don't get the WWII sticker, which is for military service, and the category for Dutch civilian casualties is already tagged. You can apply the Netherlands sticker to the profiles, with their province noted.

Hi Natalie, many thanks for your input. Maybe i misunderstand the purpose of stickers and categories. Categories are used for grouping profiles in post-processing data analysis activities. Stickers are visual markers in a profile, used to make clear on the screen what is special about the person in the profile. A wwii civilian casualty seems to me to be more relevant then the province he came from or in living in. Please appreciate that Europe and the far East had many civilian victims. Both the category and a sticker are in my humble opinion tags attached to a profile. In a wwii civil victim one should be able to explain 1) what event is was, 2) where it took place 3) when in happened and 4) some space for comments.

But maybe i do not understand the concept well in spite of going through the help pages.

Kind regards,Peter
The World War II sticker was set up to cover military service, as all of the war stickers are, which is why is includes parameters for branches and units.

I understand what you're saying about civilian deaths, but we don't have a sticker for that, and there is a process to follow if you'd like to establish one. If created, it would probably cover any and all wars and be adaptable.

Hello Natalie, Thanks for the reply. Please accept that wwii is not just a militairy thing. In the european theatre terrible things happened to the civil population creating a lot of victims. Holocaust, cruelties like hanging the complete male population of villigars, sabotaging, collaboration etc. Maybe the wwii sticker should have 2 options: militairy and civil?

kind regards,

Peter
Hello All,

It is very quit here. I still feel we need stickers covering civilian casualties of wars. I do not know how to proceed!

Greetings Peter
I found a practical solution:

Use the holocaust sticker and add the bombing text. The thumbnail (candle) was OK.

But is this the right way to proceed?
