Ellis Harden (Harden-2094) was born in GA in 1812. He moved to Tallapoosa County, AL and settled in same community as Elijah Hardin (Hardin-1535) b. 1775 in SC or NC.

Elijah may have been an uncle.

Any details or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Sid. I'm not seeing any sourced information about Ellis whatsoever. As far as I can tell, the profile is unsourced.
This is new to me, but I understand where you are coming from. I have several sources I can add to the profile for Ellis.

I will add sources to make my search more understandable.

Thanks!

Sid, I see them connected at various online sites but nowhere do I see anything that documents them as father and son. No legal docs, census records, or church records. I see Elijah frequently with a death in 1850 however he seems to appear in the 1855 Alabama census in Tallapoosa County. I see Elijah with a dozen to fifteen children depending on the site and from a quick study, it appears only two of them may actually be documented (via Census record). I would see if you can locate probate records which if not online can perhaps be gotten through a local historical society or county records office.
