Biography

Frank Herbert Wight was born on February 22, 1850, in Dover, New Hampshire, the daughter of William Quincy Wight and Mary Merrill Prescott.[1] He moved with his parents to Chicopee, Massachusetts at a young age.

He married Melissa J. Clough on December 6, 1873, in Chicopee, Massachusetts[2] (or December 24, 1873, in New Haven, Connecticut).[3] They made their home in Winthrop and Ivoryton, Connecticut. Children:[3]

  1. William Albert, b. 24 Oct 1874, in New Haven, Connecticut
  2. Laura May, b. 24 Oct 1876, in New Haven; d. 3 Apr 1967, in Bedford, Quebec, Canada; m. Harvey L. Black[4]
  3. Alice Permelia, b. 10 Feb 1880, in Northford, Connecticut

He died on February 18, 1911, in Ivoryton, Connecticut.[5] His funeral was held four days later at his home in Ivoryton.[6] He is buried in Centerbrook Cemetery in Essex, Connecticut.[7]
