Biography
Margaret Whitecross was born May 24, 1826, and baptised on June 2, 1826 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her parents were James Whitecross and Christian Waddell.[1]
On September 26, 1843 in Edinburgh, Margaret Whitecross, "daughter of the late James Whitecross Mason in Stockbridge", married Robert Watson, blacksmith.[2]
On January 10, 1844, Robert Watson (age 22, blacksmith) and Margaret Watson (age 19, housemaid) arrived in Port Jackson, New South Wales, Australia, abord the ship S.S. Herald.[3]
